Baby and the SPF

Posted on June 25, 2010 By sassy (Edit) Leave a Comment

I routinely talk about my god-daughter because...well...she's awesome. In the summer when it is sunny and like 95 degrees outside, her little 3-year old skin needs extra care. I know that I should take my skin-care SPF precautions pretty seriously and I am an adult, so I can only imagine how extra serious her's must be. So after examining the SPF options for... [Read more...]

The Mother of all How-To Sites

Posted on June 23, 2010 By sassy (Edit) Leave a Comment

I love how-to sites on the web. I am not a naturally creative person but I am fairly industrious. Which means, I can't think up my own arts and crafts projects but I am great at following instructions. Wanna learn how to make paper? There's a how-to for that. Wanna make your clothes? Oh there are lots and lots of how-to's for that. My favorite how-to gem... [Read more...]

3 Father’s Day spots in Dunwoody

Father's Day is kinda of a big deal. My poor dad put up with a lot. He coached teams for sports we were terrible at. He attended an untold number of dance recitals when I am sure he would have rather poked his own eyes out. He tutored me in math my entire sophomore year of high school and I still got a "D." And he has paid for more car repair (due to my... [Read more...]

Yacht Rock Revue and the Reagan Rock Prom

Posted on June 14, 2010 By sassy (Edit) Leave a Comment

Well it was bound to happen right? Yacht Rock (Atlanta's own smoothest cover and good-time band) played prom. That's right, over the weekend Yacht Rock Revue took us back to 1982 and played all the hits from that year. There were plenty of John Hughes references and broken-heart ballads so everyone could step-touch, step-touch to their hearts content. The... [Read more...]

Keeping Chips Crispy…

Posted on June 11, 2010 By sassy (Edit) Leave a Comment

I opened a bag of chips on Tuesday and found them the be totally stale today.  I went to pack a few for my lunch this morning and they were all bendy and soft.  So, of course, I had to eat one to confirm that they were all bendy and soft and not only were they that, but they were gross and pasty...sigh... Chips are not cheap and I am a little peeved that... [Read more...]

Bump up the SPF…

Posted on June 7, 2010 By sassy (Edit) Leave a Comment

This weekend I had a facial and the esthetician asked me how often I was wearing sunscreen. I admitted that I knew I was supposed to wear it every day but rarely did, and I could only be counted on to wear it when I was outdoors for a long period of time. She "tsked" me and then told me I had a funny spot on my cheek! Seriously! I am sporting a funny spot... [Read more...]
